Jace
Collins was
born and raised in the schizophrenic atmosphere of
South Carolina's Grand Strand. The over-stimulation of the brief
steaming summers alternated with the ghost town atmosphere of a resort
deserted.
An
inner focus developed which became a lifelong obsession. Art was an
early interest which grew as time went on. Despite lengthy detours into
hedonistic excesses, the fascination with art always remained a vital
undercurrent which eventually resulted in a BA and a MA in a mere
twelve years of periodic higher education.
